Ronnie Woods' friends help him stay sober

    (IANS)

Rolling Stones' guitarist Ronnie Wood's celebrity friends are leaving no stone unturned to help their pal overcome his alcohol addiction.

Femalefirst.co.uk reports that Sir Elton John, Rod Stewart and Mick Jagger have been giving him regular pep talks. 'Now I know everyone's behind me, I'm desperate to give up for good. Mick calls me every few days,' said Wood.

The 62-year-old rocker is said to be determined to stay sober for his new girlfriend, Brazilian beauty Ana Araujo, 30, and has been clean for two months.

Rumours are also abuzz that the couple could marry later this year. Friends say Araujo has been a positive influence on Woods.

'Ronnie now thinks Ana could be the woman to make a life with. She's such a positive influence on him and they've very relaxed in each other's company. They're happy enjoying the simple things in life like staying in, making meals and watching films.

'He couldn't be happier and there's already talk of them getting married as early as this summer,' said a close friend.
